How to download apps from the Play Store on your Huawei or Honor smartphone
If you were thinking of buying a Huawei or Honor Smartphone but are worried about not being able to download your favorite apps from the Play Store, today we explain how to do it.
Although the Huawei store is quite rich in apps and constantly growing, it is not yet provided like that of Google and there is no possibility of being able to download different apps. There is no shortage of the main ones such as WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram but you may not find that less used app that you just can't give up.

Why there is no Play Store on Huawei
If you have recently purchased a Huawei mobile phone, or its spin-off Honor, you will have noticed that the Play Store was not present by default.

Since the second half of 2019, the US authorities have imposed a block on the Chinese company regarding their collaboration with US companies, such as Google. For this reason, Huawei and Honor, to replace the Play Store, have integrated App Gallery, a company-owned store from which the user can download apps and games, on all new devices.
How to download Play Store on Huawei and Honor
As already mentioned, the store proposed by the Brand is constantly updated and the main apps are certainly not lacking. But if you really can't give up the good old Play Store, don't worry there is a solution!
All you have to do is go to the app store on your mobile and search for Gspace (be careful not to choose apps like “Gspace32” or similar, it's not what we are looking for).
How to use GSpace
Once you have found (and installed the app) you can finally proceed to set up your Google account. This step is necessary in order to use Google Play on your Smartphone.
Open the newly installed app and start the setup. In the first screen you will see, you will find information about terms and conditions. Press thebutton Start (below) and allow access to contacts and files on your device.
At this point a pop up will warn you that to use the app you need to download additional content. Then click on the Continue button. Once the upload is done, you will finally find yourself in the main app screen.
After a short advertisement, a familiar screen will appear: that of the Google Play Store. By pressing the Login button, you can continue your configuration. Enter the email address and password of the account you want to use and tap on Next at the bottom right.
On the next screen, press Accept and a new page related to Google Services will open. In this step, you can enable or disable backup to Google Drive. Our advice, for privacy reasons, is to disable it and proceed by pressing the Accept button at the bottom right.
Finally your app is ready and you can download all your favorite applications from the Play Store.
